Our labels are full of meanings (and handcrafted drawn), from the drawings to the poetries that sometimes are shown there, till the name. BLACK SHEEP:
Label shows a big black sheep that's smoking a cigar, out of a flock of white sheeps. It was thought because the 1st time at the brewery there was a big black sheep near a flock of white sheeps and I said "imperial stout baby". Meaning: Be yourself, get out of the mass clichè, think with your own head... the anarchist sheep. (hands-drawn)
THE ORACLE:
Two monks praying a modern tumbler. Means: take care of the roots but always look forward, the oracle is in your own spirit. (hands-drawn+pc)
SUN'S ARCHITECT:
Drawn with oil colours. The sun is a fire inside of each of us, we are free to check it, to keep our soul alive. The bulb at the top is the mind. Both things must be always connected in the life, mind and soul, to keep the dreams alive and to guide our actions of everyday. (hands-drawn+pc)
STRONGEST THAN EVER:
Monicker is wrong for choice. "the strongest of the stronger". What doesn't kill you, make you stronger (if you want to). (pc drawn)
AUTONOMY LOST:
Label shows a mummy and some non-humans kinda monsters, with a clock that count the time. In this neoliberist world we have lost our autonomy of humans. Treated like slaves, like machines...I like to think that each of us has got a barcode printed behind his head. But each of us has got his/her own soul, passion, feelings and abilities. (hands-drawn)
BUNGA BUNGA:
On label a pope is playing HC punk with a guitar. "bunga bunga" is what people remember of this shameful country, the fall of the politic, the fall of all values, the hypocrisy of humans. (hands-drawn)
DEATH IS LIFE:
A man with an iron mask that literally opens his chest to let a eerie creature coming out. It's a metaphor and there are two meanings: in death there's life because we are trapped in our bodies but there's a soul inside each of us (I use to hope for); while, in the darkest moments of life there's always a positive meaning to be found. TEPPISTENBIER:
That's a joke of words: "teppista" in italian means "hooligan" and "trappistenbier" is the world that inspires this quadrupel. On label there's a punk boy that laugh in front of the Statue Of LIberty because she has opened a bottle and wooden cork hit an helicopter. Inside this sarcastic painting there is a simple meaning: where is the freedom around that statue? (hands-drawn)
ZUMBI:
No drawings here. Just a dedication to a great fighter (Zumbi) that defended his population against the imperialism.
ALTRUISM: Simple word, deep meaning. / RENE': The beer is simply dedicated to Mr. Renè Magritte and his art. (hand drawn)
EARTH LIBERATION:
Label shows a seed from which born a creature half human and half tree. Means that we have to be connected with nature, it's our first home and we're just guests here. And nature, at the end, take back what we steal her. (hand-drawn)
DARK SIGNS:
Label is from a photo made going to Belgium. There are things we cannot see and command, things above us, signs that only studying our deep soul we could be able to understand, these are the dark signs. (photo+hand drawn+pc effects)
DECEMBER FLOWER:
This beer is simply the gift that White Pony want to give to its fans. A flower for the winter. A smile from the inside.
THE CROW:
Label simply shows a big crow on a crypt. The obscurity of nature that reflects the humanity. This beer was thought because at my first travels in Belgium I was impressed by those big intransigent crows, so dark but so fierce. (hands drawn)
WHAT THE FUCK?!:
Label shows an octopus that has a log instead its head, and a fisherman above that is fishing a shark. The name came out just when I've seen my finished painting and so I said "what the fuck". This simply reflects the good and the bad, the dark and the light, the madness and the beauty of this world. (hands-drawn)
HOLLOWGOURD:
A pumpkin head man has cut Hitler's head with a scythe of death. "hollow gourd" in italian means "empty head". You can imagine the metaphor behind the name. (hands drawn)
DEAD SUN RISING:
A wicked sun above the mass. It's inspired by the wind of hate that is blowing through the masses, the people, in these years and decades. (hand-drawn + pc)
AUTOMATED HEART PATTERNS:
An heart in jail. Simply because in this kind of society we're not able anymore to feel, our hearts are guided as automated machines. When a human is not able to feel, well, dangerous times come in front of us. (hand-drawn)
ZWART BLOED:
Painting is from the surrealist master Adrian Borda. His masterpiece "Spanish Gallons On Fire" matched so well with the surrealistic meaning of this beer, the black free libertarian blood that pulse everyday in the veins, even because I love pirates.
THROUGH DEAD EYES:
A couple of bloody and rotten dead eyes. They reflect the indifference of many people in front of all barbarians and injustices we see everyday in this world. Soul is these eyes, not able anymore to feel nothing. (hands drawn + pc)
ATHEIST:
A man enslaved in a room with his bloody heart stolen and put on a picture on the wall. Meaning is to keep your mind free and never subordinated to something. (hands drawn)
LET THE STARS BEGIN TO FALL:
Three kinda autumn leafs falling down. A romantic view in the tragedy of this decadent world, where, maybe, the last hope is that someone come to save us if we are not able to make it by ourselves. (hand drawn + pc)
ANKLES BREAKER:
Basketball dedication here. There's a player that has literally broken the ankles of another just making a crossover. This beer is an ankle breaker because the 1st time I drunk a couple of it I was clumbing the stairs...and it's dedicated to Paul Pierce. (hands drawn)
INSOMNIA:
Abstract stuff. It reflects the hard moments of non-sleeping or sleeping so bad, a my problem in this stressing world. A beer son of the everyday life experience. The thoughts, the dreams, the feelings through the darkest nights, waiting the new morning. (pc drawn)
MOLOTOV:
We have a flame inside of us, everybody has got. We have to keep that flame alive to fight the real enemy. (pc drawn)
MONOLITH:
There's something much more bigger than us in this life, as we are just grains of sand, nothing more. (pc drawn)
RESISTANCE:
Life constantly attack the soul with human violence, wars, barbarians...Resistance and resilience, the everyday fighting action.
SPEECH IMPEDIMENT:
A puppet has cut a piece of its own escaping heart to re-stick it on its chest (cut as puzzle piece). A metaphor again. In a society that lacks of feelings, the escaping heart is what they are stealing from humans, the heart puzzle piece means the materialism, the puppet is the humanity, the scissors the human masochistic behaviour through the global suffering. DARK MATTER DIMENSIONS:
Label shows some wicked-rotten planets. Humanity has lost the way and some false idols have obscured the life we are just surviving, black matter dimensions inside our minds, inside our souls. They have programmed our mind apocalypse. (hand drawn + pc)
